MCP Ads vs Optmyzr
How MCP Ads compares to Optmyzr for AI-powered ad management across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and analytics.
Last reviewed: September 2026
Conversational AI marketing. Ask Claude anything about your Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, or Search Console accounts. Get answers, take actions, run reports — all in plain language.
Optmyzr is a mature PPC management platform with deep Google Ads and Microsoft Ads coverage: one-click optimisations, rule engine, budget pacing, Quality Score tracking, scripts and reporting. It is a browser application with its own workflows. It has no MCP server and no Claude integration, and Meta Ads, GA4 and Search Console are outside its core focus.

What Optmyzr does well
Optmyzr has been a serious Google Ads tool for over a decade, and it shows. Its one-click optimisations — search-term-to-negative suggestions, bid adjustments, RSA asset recommendations, keyword lasso — are curated by people who ran accounts for a living, and its Rule Engine lets you express account-management logic without writing scripts. Budget pacing across an MCC, Quality Score history, Shopping campaign structure tools, and the enhanced scripts library are all strong. Its reporting is agency-grade. If you manage a large Google Ads book and want a system that suggests the next ten optimisations every morning, Optmyzr is one of the best at that job.
Where it stops
Optmyzr is built around Google and Microsoft search. Meta Ads is not part of its core product, so the Meta side of a client relationship stays in another tool. It does not connect GA4 or Search Console into the same view. And it is a destination application: you log into Optmyzr and work through its screens. There is no MCP server, so Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT cannot reach your accounts through it, and you cannot ask it a question that is not already one of its reports. The rule engine is powerful but has a learning curve, and the value depends on someone investing the time to configure it for each account.
What MCP Ads does instead
MCP Ads gives an AI client 755 Google Ads tools directly. Search-term mining, negative keyword addition, budget pacing, bid modifiers, RSA asset performance, MCC roll-ups and account lookup are all named tools that Claude calls on demand; the optimisation logic lives in the conversation and in the skills library rather than in a rule engine. The same connector covers Meta Ads, GA4, Search Console, Tag Manager and Microsoft Ads, so a question like "which Google search terms are also converting in organic" is one conversation rather than two exports. Writes are explicit and campaigns start paused, so the safety story is comparable to reviewing a suggestion before applying it.
Pricing model
Optmyzr prices in tiers based on ad spend under management, with a free trial; check its current pricing page for where your book of business lands. MCP Ads is a flat $49/month for unlimited use across every account, with a free plan of 30 tool calls a month. Optmyzr will generally cost more for an agency, and it is reasonable to ask whether its curated optimisations earn that difference versus an assistant that can run the same analysis on request.
Who should pick which
Pick Optmyzr if you run a large Google Ads or Microsoft Ads book, you want a system that proactively surfaces optimisations without prompting, and your team works best in a structured tool with a defined workflow. Pick MCP Ads if you want Google Ads, Meta and analytics in one place, you already work in Claude or Claude Code, you prefer to ask for the analysis you need rather than review a queue of suggestions, or you want a flat price that does not scale with spend. Many Optmyzr users will find that MCP Ads replaces the questions they used to answer with Optmyzr reports while Optmyzr keeps doing the scheduled hygiene.
A typical week with each
With Optmyzr, the week is organised around its optimisation queue: open each account, review the suggested negatives, bid changes and RSA assets, apply the ones you agree with, check the pacing dashboard and send the scheduled report. With MCP Ads, the same work is a set of conversations in Claude — "run the weekly search term harvest for Acme Dental", "which campaigns are pacing over budget across the MCC", "show me the RSA assets rated low across all Search campaigns" — each of which calls the relevant tools (google_ads_search_terms, google_ads_bulk_add_search_terms_as_negatives, gads_get_mcc_performance, gads_get_rsa_asset_performance) and lets you act in the same thread. Optmyzr is faster if you want the queue built for you; MCP Ads is faster if you already know what you want to look at and would rather not click through to it.
Migration notes
Both tools operate on the Google Ads account through the API, so there is no data to move and no conflict in running both. If you are leaving Optmyzr, note that its Rule Engine and enhanced scripts are Optmyzr-specific; the standing ones — weekly search-term harvest, pacing checks, disapproval alerts — map onto the marketing skills published on this site, which run against a connected account in Claude. Shared negative lists and budgets live in Google Ads itself and come across untouched.
Verdict
Optmyzr is the stronger dedicated Google Ads optimisation suite. MCP Ads is the stronger choice if you want Google Ads inside your AI assistant, alongside Meta and analytics, at a flat price. Teams that have moved their daily work into Claude will get more from MCP Ads.
The core difference
Optmyzr is a rule-based or UI-based tool. You configure what it does, and it does exactly that — no more, no less. That works for predictable, repetitive automations.
MCP Ads is different: you talk to Claude, and Claude pulls live data from your accounts to answer questions, explain performance, and take actions. You are not limited to predefined rules — you can ask anything, explore any question, and act on the answer in the same conversation.
If you already know what rules you want to run, Optmyzr is a reasonable tool for that. If you want to understand your accounts, find what you are missing, and take faster action without switching between dashboards, MCP Ads is the better fit.
