Search Console MCP
Google Search Console MCP Server
A hosted Google Search Console MCP server (GSC MCP): ask about queries, pages, CTR and position drops in plain language, inspect URLs and check sitemaps, without exporting a report.
A Google Search Console MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client query your Search Console properties directly, instead of you exporting the Performance report to a spreadsheet and pasting it into a chat. You ask which pages lost clicks this month, and the assistant compares two periods by page and tells you; you ask why a URL is not indexed, and it runs URL inspection on it. MCP Ads is a hosted GSC MCP server: one URL, https://mcp-ads.com/mcp-slim, a Google sign-in in the browser, and 22 Search Console tools for search analytics, URL inspection, index coverage, Core Web Vitals and sitemaps. It sits in the same connector as GA4, Google Ads and WordPress, which is what makes the answers useful: the query that dropped, the landing page it points to, and the paid keyword you are buying for the same term can be looked at in one conversation.

}What the 22 Search Console tools are
They map onto the reports you already use in Search Console, so a prompt that names the report usually lands in one call. The full list with parameters is in the Search Console tool reference.
- Performance — gsc_search_analytics for any dimension combination, gsc_top_keywords, gsc_top_pages, gsc_page_keywords for the queries behind one page, gsc_date_trend, gsc_compare_periods, gsc_device_breakdown, gsc_country_breakdown, gsc_search_appearance and gsc_discover_performance
- Indexing — gsc_inspect_url, gsc_index_coverage, gsc_crawl_errors, gsc_video_indexing and gsc_rich_results
- Experience — gsc_core_web_vitals and gsc_mobile_usability
- Sitemaps and links — gsc_sitemaps, gsc_submit_sitemap, gsc_delete_sitemap and gsc_links
- Properties — gsc_list_sites lists every property your Google identity can see, domain and URL-prefix alike

Connect Search Console in three steps
Search Console uses the same Google sign-in as GA4 and Google Ads. Sign in with the Google identity that is an owner or user on the property; another identity will authorise and see no sites.
- Add MCP Ads to your AI client: paste https://mcp-ads.com/mcp-slim as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT, or add it to the MCP config in Cursor, Codex or Gemini CLI. OAuth opens in the browser; there is no API key.
- In the MCP Ads dashboard, connect Google and leave Search Console ticked on the consent screen. The token is stored encrypted on the MCP Ads side and never reaches the AI client.
- Ask a first question, such as "list my Search Console properties, then show the queries ranking between positions 8 and 20 on the main one". That is the page-two list, and usually the quickest win.
Questions it answers well
The point of a GSC MCP server is not a prettier report; it is asking the follow-up question without building a new filter. A few that work in one or two calls:
- Position drops: which pages lost clicks period over period, and whether the loss is impressions (demand or ranking) or CTR (the snippet)
- CTR gaps: queries with high impressions and a CTR well under what their position would suggest, which are title and description rewrites
- Page-two terms: queries sitting at positions 8 to 20, grouped by the page that ranks for them
- Indexing: why a URL is not in the index, according to URL inspection, and whether the sitemap that lists it was read
- Paid and organic overlap: queries you rank in the top three for and also bid on in Google Ads, from the same conversation
What it can change
Almost nothing, by design. Search Console reports on what Google sees; it does not let anyone change rankings. The only writes are gsc_submit_sitemap and gsc_delete_sitemap, and like every write in MCP Ads they wait for your approval in the AI client before they run. The fixes the data points to happen on your site — and if the site is WordPress, the same connector can make them through the WordPress MCP, with the same approval step. Search Console keeps about 16 months of performance data; that limit is Google's, and no tool can read further back.
Price and licence
MCP Ads is $49/month or $490/year after a 7-day free trial, with Search Console, GA4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, WordPress and the other platforms included — see pricing. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok, OpenClaw and Hermes. The server is open source under the MIT licence at github.com/RoyAzran/mcp-ads. Connection details are in the Search Console guide.
Questions
What is a Search Console MCP server?
A server that exposes Google Search Console to an AI client through the Model Context Protocol, so Claude or ChatGPT can query your performance, indexing and sitemap data directly instead of working from an export.
Do I need to be a verified owner of the property?
No. A full or restricted user can read performance data. Owner access gives the most complete answers from the diagnostic endpoints, and submitting or deleting a sitemap needs owner or full-user permission.
Can it change my site or my rankings?
No. Search Console does not allow that. The only write tools submit or delete a sitemap, and they run only after you approve them in the AI client.
Does it work with domain properties and several sites?
Yes. gsc_list_sites returns every domain and URL-prefix property your Google identity can access, and each tool takes the property you name.
How far back does the data go?
About 16 months, which is how long Google keeps Search Console performance data. Nothing older is available to any tool.
