Meta Ads

Facebook and Instagram campaigns through one connection: 230 tools spanning campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, audiences, page posts and cross-account reporting.

What you can do

  • Report on campaign, ad set and ad performance, including cross-account rollups
  • Diagnose creative fatigue from frequency and performance decay
  • Build and manage custom and lookalike audiences
  • Read attribution alongside GA4 to see where the two disagree
  • Manage page posts and the creative assets behind your ads
  • Inspect change history to see what moved and when

Connect the account

Meta connections authorise through Facebook Login against your Business Manager. The ad accounts you can reach are the ones your Business Manager role already grants.

  1. Authorise Meta

Approve the Facebook permissions screen. Grant the ad account and pages you want reachable — Meta lets you deselect individual assets on this screen, and anything you deselect stays invisible.

  2. Check the asset list

The dashboard shows which ad accounts and pages came through. If one is missing, it was almost certainly deselected during authorisation.

  3. Run a first report

    Try this first
Compare my Meta Ads campaign performance this week
against last week, and flag any ad set where frequency
    is climbing while CTR falls.

Common questions

Do I need a Business Manager?

For anything beyond a personal boosted post, yes. Business Manager is where ad account roles live, and those roles determine what the connection can reach.

Why is one of my ad accounts missing?

Meta lets you deselect individual assets during authorisation, and it is easy to miss. Reconnect and confirm every ad account and page you need is ticked.

Can it read Instagram as well as Facebook?

Yes. Instagram placements sit inside the same ad accounts, so they come through the same connection and appear in the same reports.

Why do Meta and GA4 report different conversion numbers?

They attribute differently — Meta credits view-through and uses its own window, GA4 uses its model. Neither is wrong; comparing them deliberately is a useful exercise, and the attribution tools exist for exactly that.
