MCP Ads vs Revealbot

How MCP Ads compares to Revealbot for AI-powered ad management across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and analytics.

MCP Ads

Conversational AI marketing. Ask Claude anything about your Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, or Search Console accounts. Get answers, take actions, run reports — all in plain language.

From $49/mo unlimited
vs
Revealbot

Revealbot automates Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat ads through trigger-based rules: if CPA rises above a threshold, pause the ad set; if ROAS holds, raise the budget. It is precise and reliable for automation you can define in advance, but it is not conversational, does not explain performance, and has no MCP server for Claude or other AI clients.

What Revealbot does well

Revealbot is the specialist in rule-based automation. Its rule builder is more flexible than the native automated rules in Ads Manager: multi-condition triggers, time-window comparisons, budget scaling in steps, rules that act on ad sets based on ad-level metrics, and a Slack integration that reports what each rule did. It runs across Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat, and it has been doing this long enough that the edge cases — rules firing during the learning phase, budget changes that cascade — are handled well. For a team that has a documented playbook of what to do when metrics cross certain lines, Revealbot turns that playbook into something that runs every fifteen minutes without anyone watching.

Where it stops

Revealbot requires you to know the rule before you write it. It will pause an ad set whose CPA doubled, but it will not tell you why the CPA doubled, whether it was one placement or one creative, or whether the same thing happened last September. It has no analysis layer, no reporting on GA4 or Search Console, and no way to build a campaign from a description. Everything happens inside its own web app; there is no MCP server and no Claude integration, so the AI client you use for everything else cannot see what Revealbot sees or ask it to act.

What MCP Ads does instead

MCP Ads is the investigative half of the problem. You ask Claude what happened, and it reads the live account through tools like meta_ads_delivery_insights, meta_ads_frequency_watcher, google_ads_search_terms and google_ads_budget_pacing to answer with the actual numbers. When the answer implies an action, the same conversation can take it — add the negatives, cap the ad set budget, pause the fatigued creative — with every write visible in the client. It does not run unattended rules on a schedule; if you want "pause anything over $80 CPA at 6am every day" to run without a human, that is what Revealbot is for.

Pricing model

Revealbot prices in tiers based on the monthly ad spend under management, so the cost rises with your accounts; check its current pricing for the tier you would land in. MCP Ads is $49/month flat for unlimited tool calls across every account you connect, with a free plan of 30 tool calls a month to evaluate it. The difference matters most for agencies with high aggregate spend, where a spend-based tier climbs quickly and a flat rate does not.

Who should pick which

Pick Revealbot if your operation is mature enough to have rules you trust and you want them executed automatically around the clock. Pick MCP Ads if you spend more time diagnosing and deciding than executing known rules, if you work in Claude or Claude Code and want live account access there, or if you need analytics and search data in the same conversation as the ad platforms. The two are more complementary than competitive: Revealbot for the guard rails that run at 3am, MCP Ads for the morning conversation about what they did and what to change.

A typical week with each

With Revealbot, Monday starts by reading the rule log: which ad sets were paused over the weekend, which budgets were scaled, and whether any rule misfired during a learning phase. The rest of the week is tuning thresholds. With MCP Ads, Monday starts with a question in Claude — "what changed in the Meta and Google accounts over the weekend and why" — which runs meta_ads_account_change_history, meta_ads_frequency_watcher and google_ads_budget_pacing and comes back with the story rather than the log. Then you act: cap the ad set that ran hot, add the negatives from the search terms report, pause the creative whose frequency crossed four. Same outcomes, but one tool executes decisions you made in advance and the other helps you make new ones.

Migration notes

Nothing needs to move. Both tools act on the ad accounts through the platform APIs, so connecting MCP Ads does not interfere with Revealbot rules and cancelling Revealbot does not affect anything MCP Ads has done. If you are replacing Revealbot outright, export your rule definitions first: they are the institutional knowledge you will want to hand to Claude as a skill or a standing instruction, and MCP Ads has budget guardrail tools on Meta that cover the most common "do not exceed" rules.

Verdict

Revealbot is the better tool for unattended, scheduled rule execution. MCP Ads is the better tool for understanding an account and acting on it in conversation. If you can only have one and you use Claude daily, MCP Ads covers more of the week.

The core difference

Revealbot is a rule-based or UI-based tool. You configure what it does, and it does exactly that — no more, no less. That works for predictable, repetitive automations.

MCP Ads is different: you talk to Claude, and Claude pulls live data from your accounts to answer questions, explain performance, and take actions. You are not limited to predefined rules — you can ask anything, explore any question, and act on the answer in the same conversation.

If you already know what rules you want to run, Revealbot is a reasonable tool for that. If you want to understand your accounts, find what you are missing, and take faster action without switching between dashboards, MCP Ads is the better fit.
