What Windsor.ai does well
Windsor.ai started as a data integration tool: it pulls marketing data from more than 350 sources into warehouses, spreadsheets and BI tools, and its hosted MCP server lets Claude and other assistants query that same data live without SQL or API keys. If your question spans sources MCP Ads does not cover, such as CRMs, e-commerce platforms or niche ad networks, Windsor reaches further. Its free plan includes the MCP server for a single data source, which makes it easy to try.
Where it stops
Windsor is shaped around reading and moving data. Its repository lists some write actions on Google Ads and Meta, but the depth of campaign management, the kind of thing you need to build a Performance Max campaign, mine search terms into negatives or create a lead form, is not what it is built for. Pricing is by data sources and monthly active rows, so connecting Google Ads, Meta and GA4 together already needs a paid plan, and heavy accounts can move you up tiers.
What MCP Ads does instead
MCP Ads is built to operate ad accounts from the conversation: 755 Google Ads tools (bidding, keywords, PMax asset groups, product partitions, conversion actions), more than 200 Meta tools (lead forms, customer lists, budget guardrails, creatives) plus TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Snapchat, GA4, Search Console, Tag Manager, Merchant Center and organic posting. New campaigns are created paused, and workspace roles decide who can change what.
Pricing model
Windsor.ai has a free plan limited to one data source and one account, then Basic at $23/month ($19 yearly), Standard at $118 ($99 yearly), Plus around $298 ($249 yearly) and Professional at $598 ($499 yearly), with the number of data sources and monthly active rows growing at each tier. MCP Ads is one plan at $49/month flat for unlimited accounts and platforms, with a 7-day free trial. Check Windsor's pricing page for current limits.
Who should pick which
Pick Windsor.ai if you need data from sources beyond advertising, such as your CRM, Shopify or a warehouse, in the same assistant, or if you mostly want reporting and data pipelines. Pick MCP Ads if you want the assistant to manage campaigns, not just read them, across many ad accounts at one price.
Verdict
Windsor.ai is the better choice for reading and piping data from hundreds of sources. MCP Ads is the better choice for running Google Ads, Meta and the other ad platforms from the conversation.

The core difference
Windsor.ai is a rule-based or UI-based tool. You configure what it does, and it does exactly that — no more, no less. That works for predictable, repetitive automations.
MCP Ads is different: you talk to Claude, and Claude pulls live data from your accounts to answer questions, explain performance, and take actions. You are not limited to predefined rules — you can ask anything, explore any question, and act on the answer in the same conversation.
If you already know what rules you want to run, Windsor.ai is a reasonable tool for that. If you want to understand your accounts, find what you are missing, and take faster action without switching between dashboards, MCP Ads is the better fit.
