Claude Desktop and Claude on the web connect to MCP Ads as a custom connector. One URL, one browser authorisation, and every tool your connected accounts expose becomes available in the conversation.

Add the connector

MCP Ads is a remote server, so nothing is installed on your machine. Claude reaches it over HTTPS and authenticates with OAuth.

Open Settings, then Connectors
In Claude Desktop or on claude.ai, go to Settings and find the Connectors section.
Add a custom connector
Paste the server URL. Claude will open a browser window for the one-time authorisation.

Start a new conversation
Tools are attached when a conversation starts. An existing chat opened before you added the connector will not see them.

Confirm it worked

Ask something that can only be answered by a real tool call. If Claude answers with generic advice instead of your numbers, the connector is not attached.

Common questions

Do I need Claude Pro?

Custom connector support depends on your Claude plan and which surface you use. If the Connectors section is not visible in Settings, that is a Claude plan question rather than an MCP Ads one.

Why does Claude say it has no tools?

Nearly always because the conversation started before the connector was added. Start a new chat. If it persists, re-check the URL and that the browser authorisation completed rather than being closed.

Is my ad data sent to Anthropic?

Tool results come back into the conversation, so whatever Claude reads is part of that conversation, the same as anything you paste in. MCP Ads does not send your data anywhere else.
