Introduction

MCP Ads is a remote MCP server that gives Claude live, authenticated access to your advertising and analytics accounts, so reporting, audits and campaign changes happen inside one conversation instead of across six dashboards.

What MCP Ads does

You connect each ad account once, in the browser, using that platform's normal OAuth screen. From then on Claude can read live campaign structure and performance, and — when you ask for it — create or adjust campaigns. There is no API key to paste into a chat window and no CSV export step.

  • Browser-based OAuth for every platform, revocable per connection
  • Read access to live performance data across every connected account
  • Scoped write access for campaign creation, budget changes and keyword management
  • The same workflow whether you manage one brand or fifty client accounts

Supported platforms

Tool counts below are generated from the live server registry, so they are what Claude can actually call today rather than a roadmap.

What a session actually looks like

The point is that you describe an outcome rather than a sequence of clicks. Claude picks the tools, calls them against your live account, and explains what it found.

In any connected AI client
Audit my Google Ads account for last month. Show me where budget
went to search terms that never converted, and tell me which
campaigns are pacing over budget.

What it will not do

The write surface is deliberately narrower than the read surface.

Note

New campaigns are created paused by default, so nothing starts spending because of a misread instruction. Deleting campaigns and removing budgets outright are not exposed as tools at all.

Where to go next

If this is your first time here, connect an account first and read the protocol explanation afterwards — the concepts land better once you have seen a tool call return real numbers.

Common questions

Do I need to be technical to use this?

No. Connecting an account is an OAuth screen in your browser, and adding the server to Claude is pasting one URL. After that you type in plain language. The only place you will see anything resembling code is the one-line command for terminal-based clients like Claude Code.

Does MCP Ads store my ad data?

Tool calls read from the platform APIs at the moment you ask. MCP Ads stores the OAuth tokens needed to make those calls, encrypted, plus your account settings — not a copy of your campaign data.

Which AI clients does this work with?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP. That includes Claude Desktop, Claude on the web, and Claude Code today, and any other MCP-compatible client as support spreads. The server is the same in every case; only the way you add it differs.

Can I connect more than one account per platform?

Yes. Multiple accounts per platform is the normal case for agencies, and you tell Claude which account you mean in the request. See Multi-Account & Agencies for how to keep them straight.
