Google Ads - Audits & Health
10 skills Claude can run against your live accounts through MCP Ads. Each one lists who it is for and the phrase that triggers it.
The audit and health skills are the ones a campaign manager reaches for when a Google Ads account is new to them or when something feels off and nobody can say what. Agencies run the full account audit in the first week with a new client and again each quarter; the lighter health check is a two-minute morning routine, run before the client is at their desk. Business owners who manage their own account tend to run an audit once and then keep the health check and the budget pacing check on a weekly rhythm. You need the Google Ads account connected through MCP Ads and, for the tracking checks, ideally the matching GA4 property, so Claude can confirm that the conversions the account reports actually arrive in analytics. Each skill is a written procedure: Claude pulls the account overview, campaign performance, quality scores, conversion actions, recommendations and change history, then works through the checklist in order rather than skimming. What comes back is a findings document, not a dashboard: a prioritised list of what is wrong, why it matters in money terms, which campaign or ad group it lives in, and the exact change to make. Nothing in the account is changed unless you approve it. Most people paste the fix list straight into their task tracker or the client update.
Run when taking on a new client or doing a quarterly review. Checks every part of the Google Ads account: campaign structure, wasted spend, quality scores, bidding strategy, conversion tracking, ad copy quality, and negative keywords. Delivers a prioritised fix list with estimated impact of each change.

Frequently asked questions
Will the audit change anything in my Google Ads account?
No. Audit skills only read data. Every recommended change is listed for you to approve; the skills that make changes (pausing keywords, adding negatives) are separate and ask before each write.
How much history does Claude need for a useful audit?
Ninety days is the default and is enough to separate real patterns from noise. Accounts with under a few hundred clicks a month get a shorter, more cautious report that says where the data is too thin to judge.
